Re-imagining Artwork

This is my emulation of Kollin Skattum's artwork. His requirements were: 1) black and white, 2) self-identity. There are different ways to approach this, taking multiple images and bringing them together in one or taking ghost photography. I used the same basic concept of having three of the same people in one image. Although I tried using ghost photography for my previous one, I wanted to try something new. In order to keep the ghost effect, I changed the opacity of me in these three different "people". I wanted to get across that although I have many different "me's"/personalities, the one "me" that won't change is going to school. I kept a border effect to show some correspondence, and I tried to keep a straight facial expression like Kollin's. However, one major thing I changed was putting it on an actual background instead of having a black background. I think the setting is necessary in my image because it adds to the different "me's".

Re-imagining Artwork

I was re-imagining Kollin's artwork, with the requirements of being in black and white, and self-identity. It didn't matter if it was digital or fine art, so I just used the same concept at Kollin.

Weekly Challenge #9

For my weekly challenge, I had to embrace the weather, in the freezing cold. I made a few edits on Photoshop by adding a border, and adding shadows. I think overall, the level of detail turned out well, and I really like the color. It's also cool how you can see the houses in the distance as well, with the snow slowly drifting down.

Concentration In Progress Part 2

This is one of my newer concentration artworks that show that each minute, there's no notifications that causes the transition of emotions.

Concentration in Progress

*These images are not in any particular order yet. Some images will be in between each of these images.

The central idea of my concentration is addiction to technology, and how that has affected society today. Media I used to produce these images are photography and Photoshop. Through these images, it is visible that technology is being integrated into society all around. The lenses that are seen in the images relate back to technology as well because they are 3-D lenses, which shows the shift towards 3-D televisions and technologies. As this theme progresses, more technology is used with an incorporation of more people. Addiction to technology is prominent in society today, as individuals are relying more on technology in their daily lives. This concentration will show how far the use of technology has been pushed overtime.
